General Information

Corporation established in July of 1998 for the purpose of construction and operation of a beach/surf resort for the 35 – 60 year old activity oriented vacation traveler.

Construction

Phase I August 1998 to December 1998 included the construction of the first 5 rooms called Playa Pelada Suites, the first phase of the restaurant ranchita and bar, bar pool, commercial kitchen, and small clothing, gift and surf supply store.

Phase 2 Construction began in July of 1999 on an additional 5 rooms called Playa Nosara Rooms and Playa Guiones Suites. The first 3 of these rooms, the Playa Nosara Rooms opened on January 1, 2000 and the 2 Playa Guiones Suites on March 1, 2000. This second construction phase when completed doubled the total number of room and suites available from 5 to 10 and diversified the room types, available amenities and individual room capacities.

Phase 3 An additional 6 Playa Nosara Rooms constructed between August and December

Year 2001 bringing the total number of units to 16

Phase 4 Constructions of Reception, Retail Store and Real Estate Office and Laundry. Construction began in August of 2002 and opened in January 2003.

Phase 5 Construction of Surf City Section of Harbor Reef begun in July of 2005 and opened in July 2006. The Surf City addition included 2 top floor 3 bedroom apartments and 4 very large hotel rooms bringing the total number of rooms to 22. This Phase also included the hotels second swimming pool.

Future The land use plan developed for Harbor Reef was designed to allow for the gradual growth of the resort to an ultimate size of 40 rooms. Current occupancy rates for 2008 indicate that it is now time for the next phase.
